Where- He moved to living in a city in Gujarat
Who- Luharia was a fisherman living in a village near the Narmuda river. He is a father, a husband and a healer.
Why- He was forced by the government to move out because they are building a dam and the government offered them land in city. He decided to move out of his village because in the quote " ultimately in our culture we are taught that if it helps the society, you have to sacrifice a little bit." After a while he was finally convinced because it is in his culture to sacrifice for the better. The good part in moving to the city is that they get more water and electricity.

Grace is happy because after all the hard work her parents and herself did, they have enough money to finally send her to school. After her dad joined Kuapa Kokoo, their life got better because for the first time they were living on less than 50 p a day. Now they have enough money to buy basic needs like food, clean water, healthcare and an affordable education that even gets an uniform. Her dad got all the money because the fair trade is more developed now because cocoa is Ghana's main export crop.

To understand and explain how development is measured?
Development is measured by several different categories. Like the country's GDP or the population and the growth and death rate.
- We think that the most important for measuring development is the gross national product because it will show how much money a country makes as a whole. It shows how well the country can ship and trade with other countries worldwide. The richer the country, the more it develops. The poorer the country, it will be less developed.
- The least important is the percentage of people employed in agriculture because it might not only be food products that are traded and made for income. It could be tourism, gadgets, clothes or more. There are also other jobs more less and more than agriculture.
- We think that number of people per doctor is quite important as it shows how much healthcare the country receives. Population growth rate is important because it shows how much people keeps getting added and infant mortality rate is how many infants are removed. It's like the same thing.
- We didn't use car ownership as it is not important because you could buy another type of vehicle like a van or a motorbike and you could still be rich.
- There should the indicator percentage of people living in a rural area or without a home. Because it is important to see how many people are still living in the streets or in the village. Because it shows us if a country is being developed as people need to have shelter and other basic needs.
-It was easy to make the decision because we all knew how important or unimportant each indicator was. We knew the first and last indicator easily but the middle ones we had some trouble as we had to discuss and rotate for awhile.

How do you think we can measure development?
We can measure development by taking a survey with some people from different countries and areas. We can see how much is their salary, or how much percentage of good agricultural land they have. If there are still a lot of people living in poverty and on the streets, you would call it ledc, but if their products are spread worldwide and are well- known and if they make a lot of income economically, it's a medc country. You can also compare the death rate, which shows that the person has a clean, healthy lifestyle.

Hunger games reflection
What we have learned today:
We learned that hunger games is a very dangerous and brutal game and survival is very hard since there are other tributes out to kill you and it is hard to live in the wilderness. There will be smart people who will seem mean and betray you at first but in the end, they come through like Peeta Meelark. There are people who will team up with you in an alliance.
Connection:
In the book, the characters are similar to those in the real world. Because there are people who are rich, people who are poor. There are the weak, kind ones and there are the mean, built ones. The setting is different because it is split into districts, and there are capitals who will overpower the rest.
Author's style:
It's in the present tense, though it sometimes has flashbacks. It's from the point of Katniss, so we don't really know about the other perspectives of the characters. It's an amazing read, because I never want to put the book down, I want to keep reading it.
Genre:
adventure, action and romance
Recommendation:
I would recommend it to everyone, all genders and ages. It's not bias and it's a page- turner. I guarantee you will love it.

Reflect on Hazards Fair
What went well
The kids were really interested in the tornado in a bottle and they found it fascinating. They all wanted to have a go at spinning it themselves, and they know how a tornado looks like and moves. We were able to answer the questions that were asked by both the kids and adults by the poster and flyers.
What could have been better
The tornado in a bottle was leaking too much even though it worked quite well, we could've taped it more securely. We also could have printed more flyers, as there wasn't enough for all the adults and they requested to have one.
Describe the experience
It was quite a good way to interact between other people from different ages, by the hands on activity and by the poster. It was nice to see the audience's reaction and enthusiasm to our activities. By doing this hazards fair, we improved our presentation skills as more people kept coming each time and by testing ourselves by answering questions and sharing our information about tornadoes.

ELP Hazards Topic and S.C
I will choose tornadoes because I have
already work on some of the information on my Hazards Fair, therefore it would be easier for me. I have already gathered the basics on tornadoes like what
causes it and what to do before, during and after it occurs. I just need to add
more information into the brochure template like what should be in the
emergency kit and the different areas that tornadoes are most likely to take
place, and also the contact information in the region.
Success Criteria
1. To be able to extend and generate ideas
2. To be able to plan and research
information and data
3. To describe and explain with reasonings
and evidence
