How do you search for information on the internet?
I search the topic I wanted to do my project on. I then add for kids or I see if the link ends with edu rather than .com, because it stands for education which university students do and a trusted website.

Song analysis
Rudolph the red nose reindeer
This song is about acceptance and discrimination. Rudolph was the reindeer that was the odd one out and different. He was always made fun of because he had a red nose that glowed which wasn't normal. The other reindeers played games together but didn't let Rudolph join because he was different, so they saw him as weird and abnormal. They also called him names, but one foggy day, Santa asked him to guide his sled because he could see through the fog with his glowing nose. Rudolph saved the day, and the other reindeers loved him and he was accepted as the quote says: "Then how the reindeer loved him As they shouted out with glee, Rudolph the Red-Nosed Reindeer, You'll go down in history." From that day on Rudolph was praised and seen as hero because what was different about him turned out to be useful.

What is the difference between a factual and an interpretive question?
A factual question is a question that has only one answer and is straight- forward. Ex: How does a tornadoe look like? A tornado only looks like one thing which is a funnel of wind.
An interpretive question is a question that has more than one answer supported my an evidence. You have to interpret and read in between the lines in the questions because it is not straight-forward. Ex: What causes a tornado? Scientists might have different reasons and opinions on the causes of tornadoes,

Reflecting on my war poem
1. I wanted the reader to think about the effect on the family members when one of their family member goes to war, which is the dad. I wanted the reader to feel a sympathy towards the little boy, the mom and the father. The little boy feels lonely and sad because his dad is gone and also his daily life routine feels empty. The mom feels sad because his husband isn't there and feels sorry for her son because his dad is gone. The father misses his family while at war. In the end, his gentle smile changed and his warm hugs are still cold. War changes everybody in the family.
2.
4. I think the kid must be feeling very scared and wanting to know what happened but scared of what she will hear when she asks. She misses her father and wants everything to be back the way it was. She is probably worried about her mom and why is she crying.
5. I actually got the desired reaction from both year 9 and 6. This poem is a bit about loneliness when a family member goes to war, which the readers interpreted well and correctly. But the year 6 kid focused my poem more on the mom than the other characters. I think to improve it I will write more on how the little boy and father feels, since how the mom feels is already clear. I will write about the little boy's sadness and loneliness and how his dad misses his family but still is scarred for life and has a change to his warm attitude. I can add similes and metaphors.
2.
Where’s my daddy?
Where’s he gone?
The soldier toy is left untouched in my bedroom,
And dinner feels lonely with just two plates
I wonder where my daddy is,
Is he at a meeting or overseas?
Or has he gone back to work?
I miss his gentle smile,
I miss his warm hugs,
I miss the days when we would stare at the clouds.
I really wish he was right here.
I can sense there is something wrong.
Mom paces back and forth across the room,
Her eyes are blank,
Her smile is broken.
I finally gathered all my courage up,
Because all the questions and guilt were haunting me.
I asked my mom gently with curiosity,
She looked taken aback and paused for a while.
Fidgeting with her hands, tears flowing down her cheeks,
She slowly began to tell the truth
Behind the disappearance of my dad.
The gory details and horrible conditions
Of war.
Several months had passed by,
His bedside table collecting dust
The emptiness echoed within the house.
Feeling lonely like a star in a sky.
But dragging footsteps broke the silence
BANG
The door slammed wide open,
And through the dark shadow came a familiar figure
Daddy is back home.
But there was a change in his gentle smile,
And his warm hugs turned into cold steel.
3. Faqeera's poem showed me how a person can be changed after experiencing war. No matter what type of relationship they had with war, they are affected by it somehow. War affected the whole family in this poem, but each in different ways. The son had to face the absence of his father, the father had to leave his family and the mom had eventually tell the son about his father. She's also saying the aftermath of war can scar someone's life, e.g the father.

What is a question and how do you come up with questions for learning oppurtunities?
A question is something you ask and we want to find the answer and reasons behind it. Our intonation goes higher and also has some keywords like the 5 w's and how.

Brainstorm the items you want on your poster
My role in a team is the implementer and complete finisher, but the implementer got a higher score than the complete finisher, so my poster would be focused on that. On my individual poster, I would firstly put the title at the top. Then I would define what an implementer is, which means an organized person. I would add pictures related to my belbin role like some cogs or a folder. I would make my poster colorful and full of imagination. I would maybe write about why I am an implementer.
Belbin roles reflection
1. When I compare my actual Belbin results to what I thought I would be, it matched up completely to what I predicted. I thought I was going to be a complete finisher and an implementer because I thought I was a very organized person and I wanted to get things done easily. My third highest score was a teamworker which I think is quite right too. Because I can work well with a group.
2. Yes I agree with my results because it was what I predicted and I can relate to it. I agree that I am a complete finisher, implementer and a team worker.
3. Our group's results was all different so it was pretty balanced out. But no one was a plant and monitor evaluator, so we checked among the three of us to see who got a higher score in these areas, but it was a tie between me and another person, so we both agreed to share both roles.
4. We can look back at the team wheel and when we plan at the beginning of a project, we can divide the tasks into parts. We each have a different strength, so we each can focus on the part of the project that we would be most helpful to.

Belbin team roles
I would sort myself into complete finisher- gets things done and also the implementer- the cogs of the team. I can relate to the complete finisher because I sometime have an anxiety to get things done. In the back of my mind, I have the tasks I need to get done and due dates. In the last sentence, it describes them as having high standards, precise, dedicated and task- focused. I always set my mind on the task and focus on what part of the team I have to get done. I kind of have high standards, but mostly I aim for a good score. I also think I am the implementer because I have common sense, self- control and discipline. I know what needs to get done and do my part and I use common sense to get the task done. It describes the implementer as people who are not afraid of hard work and prefer to tackle tasks in a systematic way. I would say that I am quite a hard worker, because I am usually focused and is not distracted easily. I am an organized person, because I like to do things chronologically.
I think I need to work on pulling the team together. Even though I have done my part of the team's task, I should ask people how far they are on the task. I might work with people who are distracted easily, and haven't gotten that far on the assignment, therefor I should tell them to keep working encouragingly and check from time to time how our whole team is going.

LI- to plan and undertake an enquiry into the causes, impacts and management of natural hazards
To undertake an enquiry means to question and research about the restless earth. We are trying to find Causes means to find out the reason behind what starts a natural disaster. Impacts means the effect and influence it has on the earth and the people. The negative and positive. The management is the aftermath of the disaster- what our society and community is doing to solve this disaster.

Humanities self reflection- Basic rights
- What was the key question of this topic?
- In one paragraph write an answer to the question, thinking about what you have learned.
- Why do you think this topic is important?
- Which learning opportunities did I most enjoy doing? Why?
- Which learning opportunities did I least enjoy doing? Why?
- What skills have I used? Include 3 examples of work that show these skills.
-I also used precise language, as you can also see in the link above in my glog. I took the information of my person in my mindnode, and shorten the story down so it can fit onto a page, while still explaining properly.
-Another skill I use was plan and research. Before I started researching, I discussed with my partner what countries we should focus on and which sub topic of the human rights issue we should be independently researching about.
- How can the learning in this topic help me in the ‘real world’?
- What key idea do you think people should be aware of about this topic?
Knowledge- :)
Progress- :)
Enjoyment- :)
What targets could I set to help make progress in my learning?
Try to link them to your humanities learning and the key skills you want to develop. E.g. Try to use key terms in my answers, try to ask my own questions.
1.Improve my research skills
2.Pose and define problems
3.Apply imagination

Reflect upon your group's individual SC
For the first success criteria which was to have 5 slides on our topic, we changed the format we were going to use. We wanted to use power point but then we changed it to glogster, because we figured it would be more easier to view in a large audience and because it is easier to combine both of our biography into one format that can showcase our full stories. I have also decorated the glogster like a scrapbook to liven our stories up. Our other success criteria was to proofread our work, which we already did, and we peered review each other and got other people to check it too. Our final success criteria was to plan before we did our presentation, which we already did. We have planned everything on a mind map, and researched on our issue and collected it in a document. We have already met all of our success criteria for our group's individual biography.

ELP- b. how can i relate to this clothing?
This hat makes a good statement because it says "I love human rights" which shows that you are supporting and caring for the human rights. It is a good example to use because it is nice and basic and is related to human rights.
I think this bag makes a good statement because it encourages people to support human rights and also the bag has blue people without faces to show that it doesn't matter where you are from and who you are, everyone deserves human rights and supports it.
I think this bag makes a good statement because it shows "I love human rights" which also shows that you support human rights. Another thing is that the bag is made out of canvas, which is a type of material that is environment-friendly, so when you go grocery shopping you don't have to use plastic bags which takes a long time to degrade and is making a bad impact on our earth.
This bag makes a good statement because the coloring of the word "human rights" goes from dark brown, light brown then to white. This represents the different skin color tone of everyone, it shows that no matter where you are from or what skin color you are, you deserve human rights and should not be discriminated.
